There re many approaches to treating depression and anxiety. Some of the most common modalities include cognitive therapy, behavioral therapy, hypnotherapy, physiological therapy, psychotropic medication, alternative therapies such as acupuncture and nutrition.
Statistics show that approaches that address the whole person mentally, physically and emotionally demonstrate the greatest level of success. Unfortunately, some of the modalities mentioned above have regular relapse rates so in selecting a treatment process it is important to select one that offers lasting freedom from anxiety and depression.
Hypnotherapy is a modality that does treat the whole person by addressing and healing anxiety physically, mentally, and emotionally. It has been shown to consistently help people heal and make the changes necessary to be free from depression and anxiety permanently. It is a safe and effective treatment option for most people beginning as early as age two.

Hypnosis is an effective treatment for anxiety that produces lasting results. In order to understand how hypnosis works in the treatment of anxiety it is important to understand a little about brainwaves. There are four brainwaves and each have their own distinctive pattern and benefit. An easy way to understand how they function is to think of each brainwave like a gear of a car. Beta is the highest gear (13-40 cycles per second), then there is Alpha (8-13 cycles per second), then Theta (4-7 cycles per second) and the lowest gear, Delta (0-4 cycles per second).
